CORRECTION OF GROWN NAIL WITH CLAPPES

In the Medical Center MFD "Dziednieciba" st. Rušonu 15, Riga

An ingrown toenail (unguis incarnatus) or onycryptosis is a very common problem that can be caused by both external and internal factors, as well as genetic factors. An ingrown toenail causes discomfort with severe redness, swelling, local pain, and / or fever.

An ingrown toenail causes quite a lot of discomfort, and in severe cases, even restriction of movement, which worsens the quality of life. People should not wear their chosen shoes, spend a long time on their feet, because ingrown nails cause severe pain, injure soft tissues, provoking inflammation.

An ingrown toenail needs to be treated!

Good results can be achieved by correcting an ingrown nail with wire or a clamp. They gradually raise the edges of the nail plate. With the growth of nails, the pressure created by the nails and staples evens out, the nails take their physiological shape.

An excellent result that will last for a long time will be achieved if you follow the instructions for proper nail care and the selection of suitable shoes. The relief is usually felt immediately because when the edges of the nail are lifted, the lateral ridges are released from the pressure of the nail. At the MFD “Dziednieciba” Medical Center, a certified podiatrist performs an ingrown nail correction using:

It is an ingrown toenail correction technique in which a nickel-titanium wire is attached to the nail plate. Due to its composition, this material has unique properties - high corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, high strength and flexibility and, most importantly, shape memory. What is shape memory? It is a property of the wire that allows the wire to return to its original shape after deformation. A titanium wire attached to the nail plate straightens the nail with constant and even pressure.

This technology helps to prevent inflammation of the nail plate, deformation and thickening of the nail plate. Technology advantages:

  • the installation of the staple is completely painless (no anesthesia is applied)
  • High strength and flexibility of the material;
  • The material does not wear out;
  • Can fix Small nails.

2. Unibrace technology

New nail correction system! An effective and visually appealing solution. Hinges with different tension forces are made for each client. This technology helps prevent inflammation, deformation and thickening of the nail plate.

Indications for use:

1. Hard-to-reach edges of nails;

2. Thin, fragile nail plate;

3. Oncholysis in the area of the correction zone;

4. Diabetes;

5. Neuropathy;

6. Polyneuropathy;

7. Angiopathy.

These methods of correcting an ingrown toenail give equally good results, but the choice of method depends on several factors. The most suitable method is selected by a specialist - podiatrist during the consultation. In difficult situations, a combination of two corrective systems is practiced.

Suitable for both adults and children.

Performed by a certified podiatrist Nina Mishchenkova.
