8 April 2011 - MFD Healthcare Group reminds about the opportunity to have a conventional tomography examination at the MFD Outpatient Hospital „Dziednieciba” in Riga, Rusonu 15.
Conventional tomography is a diagnostic checkup designed to examine lungs, bones, vocal cords, parotid area in case of suspicion of a neoformation, fracture or injury. This method allows receiving data from deep layers without affecting the other organs – skin, muscles and bones.
The head physician of radiology department Elizabete Kadakovska says, “Conventional tomography is a very valuable and as well rarely available examination method in Latvian medical institutions, because it has been replaced with computed tomography (CT) in a short time. Sometimes extensive CT examination is not required, but an ordinary radiography could be not enough to diagnose a disease or injury. At the MFD Outpatient Hospital „Dziednieciba” we are offering the appropriate method of examination for this kind of cases, which as well has a lower dose of radiation”.
New digital equipment Siemens AXIOM Iconos has the additional system for implementation of irrigoscopy, to diagnose neoformations of the gastrointestinal tract at the early stage.
The price of conventional tomography is more affordable, than the price for computed tomography, starting from 12.00 Ls only.
