May 18, 2011 – MFD Outpatient Hospital „Pardaugava” (Riga, Vienibas gatve 109) has hired the second certified dermatovenereologist Dr. Lasma Kalnberza.
Dr. Lasma Kalnberza graduated from Riga Stradins University and University of Latvia, specializing in dermatovenereology. Has a four year work experience as a physician – dermatologist. Dr. Kalnberza completed a range of courses and visited many dermatovenereological congresses in various European cities. She has publications on the topic: "Acne vulgaris and the use of light therapy for its treatment" and "Urticaria and its treatment in the practice of dermatology”.
Dermatovenereologist treats the following diseases: skin viral and pustular lesions, neurodermatosis, eczema, seborrhea, psoriasis, skin parasitic diseases, dermatitis, erythema, fungous diseases of skin, nails and mucous membranes, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Sometimes skin diseases can be caused by problems of internal organs. That is why the help of other specialists may be required, e.g. gastroenterologist, endocrinologist gynecologist, neurologist or internist. All necessary doctors are available at the MFD Outpatinet Hospital “Pardaugava”.
