February 7, 2012 – Expanding the range of the medical services provided, MFD Outpatient hospital “Pardaugava” (Vienibas gatve 109, Riga), offers cardiotocography check-up for the pregnant women.
Cardiotocography (CTG) is a dopplerography (ultrasound) check-up for pregnant women, which is one of the leading methods of fetal surveillance starting from 28-30 weeks of pregnancy. With the help of this method, it is possible to record the rate of heart and fetal movements, as well as uterus tones. Cardiotocography is necessary in order to more precisely determine health of a baby and to diagnose even minor deviations from the norm, including preterm birth.
Cardiotocography is especially important starting from the 34th week of pregnancy. The necessity and frequency of this examination determines a gynecologist. At the MFD Outpatient hospital „Pardaugava” cardiotocography is provided using a fetal monitor of the new generation, which as well allows recording the heartbeat of twins!
We are looking forward to all expectant mothers who are concerned about their health and the health of the expected baby!
The price of the cardiotocography check-up is 10 Ls.
