Mud therapy has a pronounced moderately warming effect. Due to the diverse set of minerals and microorganisms in the therapeutic mud, the applications are used in the body's recovery process. In addition, mud applications have an antibacterial effect; they ideally help improve metabolism, blood and lymph circulation and reduce swelling and pain.
Medicinal mud applications are recommended:

- To eliminate the consequences of injuries
Mud treatments should not be performed if the patient suffers from the following:
- Tuberculosis
- Severe cardiovascular insufficiency
- During the exacerbation phase of chronic inflammation
- Rheumatism in the active stage
- In cases of acute infections
- In cases of tumours.
