Breast health is an essential part of every woman’s well-being and quality of life. Breast cancer remains one of the most common oncological diseases among women both in Europe and in Latvia, and unfortunately it is often detected at later stages. Therefore, timely diagnosis and prevention are particularly important.
Mammography is an effective and reliable examination method that allows changes in breast tissue to be detected at an early stage — often even before any symptoms appear. Early detection significantly increases treatment options and improves life prognosis.
This examination is quick, safe, and involves a very low dose of radiation that does not pose a significant risk to health. At the same time, its importance in the early detection of breast cancer is very high, making mammography one of the most important preventive examinations for women.
Regular preventive check-ups reflect a responsible attitude toward one’s health. After consulting with a physician, it is recommended to undergo mammography according to age and individual risk factors.
Taking care of yourself begins with conscious decisions. Timely screening can be a crucial step on the path to good health.
MFD uses Computer Aided Detection (CAD) for all mammography examinations.
We cooperate with the National Health Service (NVD) within the framework of the national mammary gland tumor screening project, i.e. examinations are carried out for women who have received a letter of invitation from NVD. The examination is free upon presentation of the letter.
MFD invites women to perform a timely preventive examination of the mammary glands!
