Mammography

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant pathologies in women. In Europe and Latvia, breast cancer is the most common oncological disease that causes death. The number of diagnosed cases of breast cancer, as well as the number of deaths from breast cancer, has been increasing in Latvia over the past 5 years, but the proportion of admitted malignant tumours is very high. Therefore, it is especially important to detect this disease in its early stages. Preventive mammography is performed for this purpose. Considering the small price of the examination, the small dose of radiation, but the important role in the early diagnosis of cancer, you should be aware of the importance of this examination and, after consulting your doctor, regularly perform preventive examinations of the mammary glands.

MFD uses Computer Aided Detection (CAD) for all mammography examinations.

We cooperate with the National Health Service (NVD) within the framework of the national mammary gland tumor screening project, i.e. examinations are carried out for women who have received a letter of invitation from NVD. The examination is free upon presentation of the letter.

MFD invites women to perform a timely preventive examination of the mammary glands!
