A national priority should be the improvement of women's reproductive health

Although modern medicine is developing rapidly, in Latvia there are a number of problems that have a significant impact on women's reproductive health. The latest drugs and treatment technologies are not always available to improve women’s health and to promote demographic development; there is a low level of state support in promoting access to medical therapy, safe contraception disuse, lack of gynecological prophylaxis and belated turn to gynecologists.
