MFD has opened new radiological examination facilities

MFD Healthcare Group, continuing to enhance the visual and functional diagnostic services available in Riga, has opened new radiological examination facilities in the Health Center at 20 F.Sadovnikova street, Riga. MFD has installed a new high class mammography system SIEMENS MAMMOMAT for X-ray examinations of the breast. The system works perfectly with the CAD system (Computer Aided Detection - CAD) to advance early breast cancer detection - the unique approach in Latvia. In the new diagnostic facilities women can also make free screening mammography examinations with received invitation from Health Compulsory Insurance State Agency. In addition, MFD has installed the latest generation X-ray system SIEMENS Multix Pro - patient-oriented system that provides excellent image quality at minimal x-ray dose. All examinations are carried out digitally. The systems operate under the control of Radiology Information System (RIS). All examination images and data are stored in electronic archive (PACS).
