„Medical Award of the Year” nominee - Dace Taurite – Taurine

On January 30, 2014 has happened one of the most important events in the healthcare of Latvia „Medical Award of the Year”, where the best medical employees of 2013 were honored and awarded. The whole month before, Latvians had the opportunity to vote for the best doctors, nurses, pharmacists, midwives etc. Organizers of the „Medical Award of the Year” emphasize that each nominee should consider oneself as a winner, because of the gratitude, recognition and respect shown by many patients and colleagues.
Overall 5728 people have voted. This is the highest response rate since the first „Medical Award of the Year” has been organized in 2007. Riga medical specialists have received 30% of the total votes.
In the category "Physician of the Year" among the top 20 Latvian doctors was represented Dace Taurite – Taurine, a general practitioner of MFD Healthcare Group’s doctors’ office “Mezciems”. The doctor began her work in 2008. Currently she is responsible for the health of more than 1,600 patients. Her patients describe her as honest, accurate, with a careful approach to each disease.
