MFD Healthcare group offers free of charge oncology consultations

Supporting the World Cancer Day, on February 7 and 14 MFD Outpatient hospital “Dziednieciba” and medical center on F. Sadovnikova 20 will provide free of charge oncologists’ consultations.During the last 10 years cancer rates have increased by 23%. There are several kinds of tumors that can be and must be revealed early during regular medical check-ups. For example, breast cancer, cervical cancer, colon cancer, oral cancer etc.
The person who assumes to have cancer often does not go to a doctor being afraid of the diagnosis confirmation. However, one should keep in mind that cancer can be successfully treated only when detected at an early stage.
In order to ensure whose, who repeatedly have procrastinated on their visit to an oncologist, MFD Healthcare group will provide an opportunity to visit an oncologist free of charge.
• February 7, 2012 from 3 pm till 7 pm, MFD Outpatient hospital „Dziednieciba”, Riga, 15 Rusonu Str., the oncologist Sarmite Baltkaje;
• February 7 and 14, 2012 from 9 am till 1 pm, medical center, Riga, 20 F. Sadovnikova Str., the oncologist Valentina Sunepa.

• skin and mucous membranes examination;
• examination of the mouth;
• examination of the neck, armpits;
• examination of the groin;
• palpation of the colon and colonoscopy once in 5 years (starting from 50 years);
• breast examination (starting from 45 mammography once in two years) as well);
• gynecological examination for women once a year, including oncocitology every three years at the age of 20 – 35, and every year starting from 35.
